Patti Andrade
Second Vice-Chair
Overview
Patti Andrade has been a lifelong resident of the Bay Area and is married with 3 children. She graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA with her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Political Science.
As a mom, Patti, understands both the joy and the stress of parenting. Her family’s positive experience with public education motivated her to serve on the Evergreen Elementary Board of Trustees where she advocates for families and students so that they may also have a positive and successful educational experience.
Patti has always understood the importance of mental health, but it was not until a family member was diagnosed with a mental health disorder that she learned the difficulty of navigating the health care system and finding appropriate care and resources. It was a difficult and heart wrenching experience and one that no family should have to live through. Although it was an awful experience, her family member is doing much better today, and it empowered her to share her family’s story and serve on the Behavioral Health Board to ensure that families have access to support, resources, and care for their loved ones.
Mental health is as important as physical health. We are not alone in our struggle and there is hope!
