Matt Savage is the Substance Use Prevention Program Manager at the Santa Clara County Public Health Department. His program works with community leaders and residents to reduce underage substance use.
He previously served as the Healthcare Policy Aide for County Supervisor Simitian, where his portfolio included opening the allcove center to improve teen behavioral health, creating the Mental Health Navigator Program to help connect residents with behavioral health services, expanding mobile crisis response programs, and the construction of the Child, Adolescent, and Adult Behavioral Health Services Center at VMC.
He has also served as a policy aide for then-Councilmember Sylvia Arenas and as Political Coordinator for UFCW 5, the grocery workers union. He lives in Willow Glen with his wife and two daughters and had hobbies before they were born.
